As a result of this unprecedented public health emergency, the Mayor issued a state of emergency declaration that prohibits mass gatherings, restricts access to certain city facilities and modifies business operations during this declaration period.
During this period, the Inspections Services Department, Permit Center and Planning & Development Department have modified business operations. All services are still being provided. Permitting will continue. Field inspections will continue with some slight procedure changes on the job site to ensure public health. Construction and land development plan review will continue as normal. Submittals for board action are somewhat restricted due to the limitation on public gatherings.Walk-in services at City Hall are limited. Permitting is available at the front desk with limited staff from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.All customers are strongly encouraged to apply online for services through Accela Citizen Access (ACA). An ACA Tutorial is available for online services.Most staff are working remotely away from the office. Therefore, contact and meetings will be by appointment through telephone or other electronic communications.
